Capturing Liz and Sam’s Ballard Wedding: A Pacific Northwest Celebration
Liz and Sam’s wedding was one for the books! Originally from Minnesota, they wanted to give their Midwest guests a taste of why they fell in love with Washington. The Olympic Rooftop Pavilion at Hotel Ballard was the perfect venue, bringing the outdoors into a beautiful and accessible space, allowing everyone to experience the essence of the Pacific Northwest. Liz and Sam also lived in Ballard for four years and are passionate about the neighborhood and its connection to their love for skiing, hiking, and the outdoors.
The day kicked off with a beautiful first look on the rooftop of Hotel Ballard. It was an emotional moment, filled with happy tears and joyous smiles, and capturing their raw emotions was truly special. After the getting ready photos, we headed to the iconic Ballard Locks for bridal party photos, and of course, some stunning couple portraits. The locks provided the perfect backdrop, highlighting the natural beauty that Liz and Sam cherish about Washington.
From the ceremony to the toasts and evening celebrations, every moment was overflowing with love, laughter, and heartfelt tears. Their friends and family were all in high spirits, and the energy of the day reflected Liz and Sam’s fun and adventurous personalities. Their love for each other, and for the outdoors, was woven into every detail of the wedding.
As a photographer, I love working with couples who bring such energy and authenticity to their day, and Liz and Sam were no exception. The bridal party was lively, and the entire celebration had a timeless, yet classy style that made every photo a joy to capture. I was there from the start, all the way to the dance floor at the end of the night, and every moment in between felt like pure magic.
Liz and Sam’s wedding was a true celebration of love, the outdoors, and the community they’ve built in Seattle. It was an honor to capture such a meaningful day for them and to help showcase the beauty of the Pacific Northwest to their guests.
